New signing SHAUN DERRY could face at least 3 weeks on the sidelines after suffering a nasty facial injury in the goalless draw against Leicester.
DERRY was taken off in the last five minutes of the match against the Foxes, after taking what looked like an elbow full on in the face.
Club Physio George Cooper reported on the Official Palace website that the midfielder had suffered a "significant facial injury".
DERRY will visit a hospital on Thursday for a full examination but Cooper believes that he could be out of action for a while:
"SHAUN will undergo surgery in the next forty-eight hours to find out the extent of the injury and it could be that he will be out for a minimum of three weeks."
